Who are we?

Joviat has been a private initiative institution since its inception, founded by Josep Vilaseca i Atset in Manresa in 1960. In September 2012, its organization was restructured and it became Fundació Joviat. Fundació Joviat is the governing body, with Jordi Vilaseca Brugueras serving as its president and general director.

Joviat is an educational foundation established in 1960 by Josep Vilaseca Atset in Manresa. Since then, it has become a benchmark centre in the country, known for its commitment to quality, meaningful, and person-centered learning. The experience and success stories of thousands of students stand as proof of this.

PURPOSE – To promote social, economic and cultural progress through training by generating lifelong learning opportunities.

JOVIAT is a post-compulsory and vocational training centre with over two thousand students, offering upper secondary education, intermediate and advanced vocational training programmes, employment and refresher training, specialised courses, and a university postgraduate programme; with higher education linked to the UManresa Campus (UVic-UCC).
