Students who successfully complete the Pastry and Confectionery course at Joviat will receive a Certificate of Professionalism. This accreditation is an official recognition of the skills and competencies acquired in key areas such as the preparation and presentation of pastry and confectionery products.

The course is aimed at unemployed individuals and is 100% subsidized by the Catalan Employment Service (SOC), making it accessible at no cost to participants. To enroll, applicants must meet the program’s specific admission requirements:

  • Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) certificate or equivalent or higher qualification (alternatively, a key competencies test can be taken at the center).
  • DARDO document (registration in the SOC).
  • Valid DNI or NIE.

The course includes an 80-hour non-work placement module, providing students with the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they have acquired in a real-world setting. These placements are essential to ensure that students gain practical experience, thus improving their skills and increasing their chances of finding a job in the catering sector.

The Certificate of Professionalism obtained can facilitate access to higher education related to pastry, gastronomy or food business management. Students can consider specializing in specific areas of pastry or continue their education in mid- or higher-level programs that offer more advanced and specialized training in the field of gastronomy.
