Participants who successfully complete the Social and Health Care for Dependent People in Social Institutions course at JOVIAT will obtain a Level 2 Certificate of Professionalism. This accreditation is an official recognition of the competencies and skills acquired and certifies the holder to work in the social-healthcare field, caring for dependent individuals both in residential facilities and in home settings.

The course is aimed at unemployed people, offering itself as an opportunity for subsidized professional training. To access, interested parties must meet the specific admission requirements of the program:

  • Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) certificate or equivalent or higher qualification (alternatively, a key competencies test can be taken at the center).
  • DARDO document (registration in the SOC).
  • Valid DNI or NIE.

The course includes an 80-hour professional internship module, which allows students to apply the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired in a real-life setting. These internships are carried out in social institutions and also in homes.

Completion of this course can serve as a pathway to the Intermediate Level Vocational Training Cycle in Care for People in Situations of Dependency, as some of the training modules are transferable and recognized for credit toward this intermediate qualification.

Graduates of the Course in Social and Health Care for Dependent Persons in Social Institutions will be prepared to work both in social institutions and in private homes, providing all the necessary care required by the users of these centers or domiciles. This is a labor sector with rotating shifts to ensure 24-hour coverage, 365 days a year, characterized by growing demand and flexible working hours.
