Dual Occupational Vocational Training (FPO) in Gardening

The Dual Occupational Vocational Training (FPO) in Gardening program offered by JOVIAT is designed for those young people who are looking to train in the world of gardening.

The program lasts 12 months in which work (65%) and training (35%) are combined, given at our facilities in Joviat les Tanques.

Through this DUAL program, young people will develop fundamental skills in the world of gardening, from auxiliary operations in nurseries, gardens and garden centers, such as the installation and maintenance of gardens and green areas.

This program is aimed at unemployed young people and is subsidized by the SOC. The program combines theoretical and practical training with a “Work-study training” contract in companies, guaranteeing comprehensive preparation aimed at job placement in a sector with great potential.

Course content

  • UF0019: Preparation of the culture medium.
  • UF0020: Operations for the installation of gardens and green areas.

  • UF0021: Maintenance and improvement of plant elements.
  • UF0022: Maintenance and improvement of non-vegetable elements.

  • UF0006: Determination of the health status of plants, soil and facilities and choice of control methods.
  • UF0007: Application of phytosanitary control methods in plants, soil and facilities.

Upon completion of the FPO DUAL Gardening Program at JOVIAT, participants will obtain a Certificate of Professionalism. This accreditation is an official recognition of the skills and competencies acquired in the field of gardening.

To access the course, interested parties must be unemployed and must comply with the specific requirements established by the call:

  • Be between 16 and 29 years old.
  • Over 29 years old with a social exclusion certificate
  • People over 45 years old with long-term unemployment
  • DONO document (registration with the SOC)
  • Valid DNI or NIE

The program includes a part of work in a company through a “Work-study training” employment contract. This participation in work centers is fundamental for integration into the world of work, allowing you to gain practical experience and facilitating your professional insertion in the agricultural sector.

The Professional Certificate obtained can serve as a starting point for access to other studies related to the field of gardening.

Graduates of the Gardening Course are well prepared to enter the job market in various positions within the world of gardening.
